Sitting in a large room at the library on the third floor, I began to pull out my required textbooks for my various classes and stacked each book on top of each other onto the large roundtable. Trying to get back into the swing of things has never been so difficult this Sunday morning. My and thoughts imagination today have been nothing but distractions. In the last twenty minuets, I have opened my books and started new Word documents but trying to get into school mode seems to be one of the toughest things for me right now. Although my phone is completely broken and useless, I am at the library away from all the distractions at my house and I have all of my needed materials ready to use; I cannot seem to get anything done yet.
Switching back and forth between all of the Internet distractions such as, Facebook, E-mail, and other websites that are irrelevant to my schoolwork has never been easier. It is a horrible habit and it really frustrates me when I get so caught up in discriminating. When I find my self in this predicament, writing in this blog has made it so much easier for me to get my mind warmed up to begin my homework assignments. However, I am sort of depressed being in this large room without windows or at the library. I’d way rather be outdoors enjoying this amazing fall weather, but when I have such a heavy load of work, I tend to find my self here a lot.
It is this time of the year when everything becomes very busy at school, but the weather cools down and I start to become more active. Trips to the golf course are a must when the weather is in the mid-seventies/eighties. There is nothing better than taking a part of the day off to go with a group of friends to go practice golf. In my opinion, golfing is one of the best things to do outdoors in Tucson when the weather is perfect. On the other hand, looking forward to the next season has never sounded so appealing. The refreshing white snow that falls from the sky is what makes the winter season so special. Particularly, winter means it is finally time to snowboard.
Snowboarding is by far my favorite thing to do during the winter season. There is no greater feeling than putting on my snowboard pants, socks, boots, beanie, gloves, goggles and jacket. Instantly, I started flashing back to so many good moments at different ski resorts around the country. There I was, at the base of the mountain, ready to venture my way to the ski lifts. Strapping into my Ride LX bindings, I fit comfortably on my Ride Serum snowboard. My front right foot was snug into place as I attached my leash to the shoelaces of my thirty-two snowboard boots. I then took a giant push for mankind, it was a push that smoothly glided me across the ever so perfect snow; in which; eventually I gained enough momentum to make it to the ski lift line. The ski resort employee scanned my ski lift pass and it was time for my best friends and I to prepare for the chair lift to swoop us up to the top of the mountain. This is exactly where I need to be right now…
